All children take part in a daily act of collective worship that is of a mainly Christian character. The aim is to provide an opportunity for worship, to consider spiritual and moral issues and to develop understanding and tolerance of other religions and beliefs.
Religious education takes place within the classroom to develop pupils’ knowledge, understanding and awareness of Christianity and of other religions. This work is based on the Local Education Authority’s agreed R.E syllabus.
Please note that whilst the school is not affiliated to any religious denomination, the law gives parents the right, on request to the headteacher, to withdraw their children from assemblies/R E. Parents are asked to seek the advice of the headteacher on the alternative provision which is available for pupils.
