Children moving from home to the wider world of a school community need to feel secure in the knowledge that teachers respect and care for them and have high expectations for them to make good progress. Your child’s achievements will also be influenced by the knowledge that you will take an active interest in their education and will offer support and guidance. We trust that we will be able to work together to give your child every opportunity to have a happy and successful time at school. This is a big step for you and your child. We aim to make it as smooth as possible. We know your child will thrive on the praise and encouragement we can all give. Equally important is the encouragement and support the staff receive from parents. We ask that you let us know if you are pleased with the education available for your child. If you have any queries, please inform us. We will try to help in any way we can.
We encourage parents to play an active part in school life and we regularly invite parents into school for curriculum events, information meetings and interactive workshops. We promote a supportive and friendly atmosphere with our ‘open door policy’ and inclusive ethos. The menu on the left of this page allows you to find more information on a variety of topics that we hope you find useful.
We value parental input here at school and often have open days in order to encourage parents to enjoy their children's education with them.
